jockeys wives ?

With the amount of bumps and breaks they get I'd think they'd be better off marrying a nurse! I almost tripped over a jockey on my way in to the race course at Leicester. He was young, small and quite cute and had amazing muscles in his arms. But who wants a man you'd be tripping over all the time :)

that must be where the line falling head over heels in love comes from :D :D :D. Sorry couldn't resist lol

My dads was a jockey when younger, he's 5ft10 mind you it was jump and p2p, married my mum who was into horses as she knew about the falls and injuries so kinda proves true in my family :) it's my mum whose the tiny one @ 4ft10/11 lol ;)

They would be portable, I suppose. Wouldn't take up much space about the house either, so you could have an extra dog or two. And you could get them to exercise your horse for you if you were busy or unwell. Plus if you had children, then a jockey could also be utilised to school smaller ponies, as they would be light.

But husbands are a great deal of responsibility! They need food, exercise, hobbies involving model soldiers/computers/allotments, and it can be very difficult to find nice clothes for them that don't eat into your equine spending money :( They aren't just for Valentines Day, you also have to keep them on the Mother In Law's Birthday! And there does tend to be a Mother In Law attached to most of them. Or else a spoilt younger sister who hates you on principle...

<sorry, am blaming ten plus years of marriage :D>

Àfter 40 odd years you learn that husbands hobbies like doing up old cars cost money and need days out, so tbere can be no comment about tbe cost of horses and ponies and time spent with them!
