What boots do you wear and why?
I am in need of a new pair to ride in. Have killed my Ariat bromonts, popper at the top broke on both as soon as I had them and now the one heel is really uncomfy. Have put 3 diff insoles in and it still hurts. My ariat devon's have had it too, so need something else.
I 'will' be mucking out in them, I know I shouldn't but always end up doing it. They need to be smart(bit of a snob lol) but not break the bank!!!
Any ideas????

I have never had Ariats but a few friends have and they diddnt last long- zips broke, leather fell apart! I have the Dublin Advance Zip ones and they have been great, very hard-wearing and comfy! I think they are around £50..

I have the Hunter ones can't remember the name but they have a zip up the middle at the front, very comfy and have lasted about a year an a half so far with no signs of going just yet

:)

i got some great just toggs ones they have a steel toe cap-great for horses who like to throw thier weight around :P also i have a cheap pair of saxon zip fronts which look a bit like ariat ones they are uncomfy wen you try them on but as soon as you ride in them they are really comfy :) only £20

I will say it proudly that my Tesco ones are the best I have ever had, comfy, strong and definatly within budget

I have been thinking about getting some joddy boots because I normally ride in my toggi heritage boots and they dont feel safe for jumping in I am soo on my way to tescos.............

I have a pair of Ariat Heritage zip up jod boots, very comfortable. I've had them for years and they still clean up well. Had no problems with the zips like others.

I have some dublin daily jod boots. Really comfy for everyday wear and they scrub up really well too. Nice and cheap and have so far lasted 2yrs! Still going strong.

I've had my Toggi jod boots for 4 years! They are worn with chaps for everyday riding (I tend to muck out in muckers/wellies, but they still scrub up perfectly to use at BE ODEs with gaiters!

I have Ariats, but not the zipped ones, the lace up ones, I've got 2 pairs of smart ones, both polish up well and 2 pairs of Terain type ones, the leather on all of them is great.

I also think that Dublin daily boots are great. I have had many pairs over the years. Very comfy for all day wear, last for ages, well priced and scrub up just fine for wear with gaiteres at comps.
