Jodhpur Boots And Spurs?

Help!? I have long boots to show in, to go with my spurs because the mare i show is a 14.3/15hh cob. I was then told that you can wear jod boots with spurs. I don't know what to do!

I always thought it was to do with age, although it is entirely possible that I am completely wrong.
I think that juniors wear short boots and seniors wear tall boots, and juniors aren't supposed to wear spurs. Possibly.

I wear ariat jodhpur boots and chaps with spurs it doesn't matter really whether they are long or jodhpur boots

Long boots/boots and gaiters look smarter and improve the overall apperance, there are no hard and fast rules on the usage of spurs.
