I need to buy some boots ASAP but don't have a lot of spare cash. I live in Cheshire so am within easy reach of Robinsons and Derby House.

Which boots are the best 'value', ie. not necessarily the cheapest but the best quality for the lowest price?

Hi Carys, I bought some mega cheap Saxon long black boots to tide me over last year after my previous ones got cut off when I broke my leg

They cost £30 and have been absolutely brilliant- soft and comfy from day 1, scrub up fine for comps and look a lot more expensive than they are... people often ask me where I got them and are always surprised when I tell them

Only downside is my legs are always sweaty when I take them off, fake leather isn't all that breathable!

Dublin Venturer Joddy boots, RRP £35.00 or there abouts, exteremly comfortable, like walking on air, I've got a pair or brown ones and they even look quite trendy with jeans, great for walking, riding in and there so light weight!

Thanks everyone.

Just bought some Waterproof Joddy boots from Robinsons, they were £11 and they are surprisingly comfortable! I really wanted long riding boots but every pair I tried cut into the back of my knee when I bent my leg

I'm too short for riding boots! Looks like it's joddy boots and chaps for me
