After some time out from riding myself while concentrating on our potential lead rein pony, a friend on the yard has asked me to go for a hack on her cob as she has another horse who needs company. So, yay!

Problem is my jodhpur collection has gotten pretty pitiful. I have a comfy navy pair I accidentally splashed with bleach, black pair with barb wire holes in the knee and a lovely light grey pair that I bought on a whim at a show which are too tight on my legs and would probably cut my circulation off behind the knee once on board!

I am a size 12 but a smidge overweight and carry it all on my hips and thighs plus have huge knees. Does anyone have any recommendations for jods or breeches with plenty of stretch on the legs? Don't need anything fancy, just want them to fit! Oh, and be available in black...

Thanks in advance x

Dublin supafit are very generous around the knees and won't break the bank. Even though I have slim legs I like a loose knee. Avoid brands such as Harry Hall as these are very tight.

In answer to your post question rather than leg size, Breeches suit shorter legs and jodhpurs for longer lengths. Cheap cheerful that might fit you are Gallop.

Hacked off are quite a good fit, although the jodhpurs may be a little long.
I find with hkm you need to order a size bigger? But they look great and get compliments from others.
