Whats the difference between Male and Female jodhpurs? For the life of me I can not find any cheap male jodhpurs and am begining to wonder what the difference there is between the two and as too whether I could buy female jods and get away with them looking like male jods.

Any opinions?

Nick.

Male jodphurs are looser around the top usually. Female jods seem to have more of a shape to them, more tightly fitting around the bum

They're cut to accomodate hips and bums so I wouldn't try it - you'll get that funny skinny leg syndrome but with baggy material around your arse!

Pleated-front men's breeches are the most flattering and Robinsons do their own brand ones quite cheaply.

no no no no - don't do it. nothing worse than men/boys in girls jods.

Mark Todd do some nice men's ones at a reasonable price. Best to have a couple of nice pairs that cost a bit more than loads of pairs that give you turkey legs

I got some Shires Saddlehuggers mens jods for my OH on E-bay. Brand new with tags still on etc, etc for around 20GBP inc posting I think. The others are right - they look more like proper men's trouses around the top than mine do.

Def a bit better quality than my girly 10GBP ones from a show. At least as good as my 27GBP ones from a shop so it can be done!

He is quite slim (28 waist I think?) and they look pretty hot!
