I have 34" legs, often struggle to find normal trousers from high-street shops that fit lengthwise, yet always seem to find childrens' jodhs and breeches fit far better than adult ones. Are kids really getting that much bigger or do I have 4 dimensional legs? :D
 
Children's jodhs fit my tall skinny daughter much better than normal trousers which are normally too big at the waist to get the length. How come jodhie manufacturers can do it but others can't!
 
My daughter is 5'10" and has similar problems. It is a real pain in the arse! When she was at school, it was a nightmare trying to get school trousers as it was assumed that someone with a 34" inside leg also had a huge waist! Dot P's was the only high st shop that we could get trousers from.
Jodhs were also a problem. The 'maids' ones seemed to have a longer length than the adult. These days, aged 19, she tends to leave them short in the leg and wear long socks over, gaiters or long boots.
 
The problem is that many shops have gotten rid of the tall size sections and replaced them with vast petite size section which leads me to believe the the population is getting shorter :p

I wouldn't know about kid's size jods as I stopped wearing kid size stuff when I was 10 as I was an "early bloomer", my first pair of jods were women's sized ones (28L I seem to remember!).

I'm 5'9" and all my jods are above the ankle on me except my posh Eurostar ones but then Germans tend to make their things longer. Harry Hall in the long lengths are ok too but i find they wear out quick.
 
Decathlon ones are quite long, they do two lengths if the adults ones go small enough. The kids ones are also pretty long I think.
 
If I get jodhs instead of breaches, I cut the legs off just below calf height and wear socks over. Far more comfortable than the lumpy bit at the bottom of jodhs; I wear short boots and chaps most of the time.
