Anyone had a lesson/clinic with John Bowen? thumbs up or thumbs down?

John has trained me for dressage for the last fifteen years or so and my son for eventing -all phases- for the last three. I can thoroughly recommend him both for adults and keen kids. .Very strong on correct basics and good riding. He's great!

Thats good to hear! I have a dressage clinic with him on monday with my rising 5yr old that i'd like to event.
Does he do individual lesson too then? I wasn't sure if he just did clinics.

He does individual lessons within clinics and xc sessions with about four people in a group.

Me and my sister have had one to one lessons with him regularly for the past 6 months or so, both dressage and show jumping. He is amazing - spots things nobody else does, and is very good at explaining how to improve and the benefits of specific exercises. Extremely knowledgeable, pretty strict but with a great sense of humour as well. Thumbs up. A word of warning though - click at your horse at your peril... ;-)

Sounds perfect, horse is good but i have a few issues that need sorting out!!!
