Has anyone else noticed that the tip of Busters tail has been shortened (docked)? Tails are pointed at the tips, Busters is rounded. Surely they could have used a healthy (non brachycephalic) breed with a natural (legal!!) tail?

I suspect his tail has had the tip off due to injury, it certainly isn't a docked tail in the true sense of the word. Not all docked tails are illegal though, older dogs could have been docked legally or a dog could have been imported from abroad.
