I do remember when H&H did a Peppermill special and JW saying that he always had to be careful P didn't jump him out of the saddle, his back end was so powerful..
Fingers x'd for a quick recovery!
(Lets hope he has a pin put in - he'll be back in the saddle in no time if that is the case!)
I've also heard that Utah was with Craig Nicolai. Good choice if you ask me - he's known for getting a lovely tune out of sensitive horses. I suppose the owner won't upset the BSJA applecart by putting him with another showjumping rider. Would be lovely to see Craig & Utah out on the circuit. Might be an eye opener for those who think that eventers can't showjump. Who knows maybe we'll see John & Utah in the Eventers Grand Prix next year!!
He has the same injury that my daughter had. She had a fracture dislocation and is only just off crutches. She has 9 screws and two plates holding it together. She broke hers on August 5th. Get well soon JW
Utah's owner's made a lovely choice for a substitute rider - Serious boots to fill but I doubt that there would be a better choice. I've always thought that Craig was an underrated rider and so I hope that both Utah and Craig benefit from any media coverage that may materialise & maybe he could be promoted more to mares in the Southern Hemisphere now. Utah's a class act but he always looks a bit afraid of his mouth and a bit like riding on eggshells. I wonder whether Craig will be competing him at all? Would be lovely for us mere mortals to see him compete without having to pay a fortune for tickets! I shall get my spies out! Doubt Utah will want to go home after being at Craig's yard though!
ouch thats the same as what I did in January. Mine still isn't right but at least I have been riding for a good while now. The talus slips out of place and I suddenly can't put weight on it until I have wriggled it back into place. I bet John gets the best of everythign and doesn't have my problems tho
