As you we ahve had our problems, but it has gone from one extreme to the other

I cannot get away from him, his fixation with me is suffocating me ( sounds like an old boyfiend I had

)

Today he was just follwing me every where, I do not really mind, but he is one step away from trying to get in side my jumper for me to carry him around, at 16hh he is a little tp big to fit insde bless.

If I change direction he is there, if I take hold of him and tell him to stand he looks like the whole world have just caved in.

Only a little moan as it has taken so long to get any sort of relationship back, and if anything we are closer than ever

Oh dear - this has made me laugh! We are breaking a pony here that is a bit of a conumdrum, at one level he is really nervous and jumpy, but once you have caught him he is a bit like your chap - quite literally in your face the whole time! He is only 13.2, so not so much as a problem, but if those horrible pointy hooves end up on you toe, still uncomfortable! So as much as I want him to be our best freind, I am setting parameters (as a lead mare in the pack would do) and saying bugger off with the point of a lunge rein. Within a couple of minutes we both had a realisation of our personal space areas! Good luck!

i know what you mean this is what my youngster was like today apart from when it came to loading into the trailer then he was more than happy to leave my side

Mine does the same to the extent that when you first send him away he has a 30 second fit gallops round the round pen bucking then settles and does exactly what you say then when you ask him to come in Gives you the finger...you then have to approach him scratch his shoulder he follows you in and from then on does a text book freeschool.

Strange animal. And he talks to you all the time you are with him he chunders away.
