Just wondering what everyone used/preferred.

I'm looking at boswellia and/or msm/chondroitin for the shetland and not sure whether to go for one or the other or both ..... he has been tried on turmeric but it didn't seem to do very much, he does get micronised linseed though which has been very helpful but has started needing a little bit of bute before the farrier which isn't ideal. - but I'm not sure the rock hard ground is helping either as he is much better in the autumn/winter or after rain. Happy to consider other options besides those mentioned above too!

Basically trying to weigh up potential benefits versus cost. Thanks in advance for any response.

No hate please he is very perky despite being advanced in age.

I've pretty much given up on joint supplements - I find myself analysing every step Alf takes when I'm using a joint supplement, trying desperately to see whether there's any difference. I do see a difference when he has Flexability pro, but it's so expensive!
He has a cartrophen injection every month, chiro every 3 months, regular light exercise, and a couple of bute before the farrier, and he's on great form (bit too bloody great...)

Vet's just told me to get Ekkyflex, so far results seem encouraging, horse is much happier and much less lame than she was 2 weeks ago.

I use Maxaflex daily. I think it definitely makes a difference. Mine has a tight turn at one side out of his stable and he's definitely much better if I go that way now than what he was before. I use Devil's Relief if I'm doing a long ride.

Vetroflex looked pretty good but I can't find the ingredients of it...
