I was wondering what supplements you have used on a horse with ligament damage, Ru is usaly on the feed mark extra flex ha but need stronger supplement with higher msm % and high Levels of glucosamine and hyaluronic acid, the one the vets offer i think are the best , well should be when they cost 70 pounds a tub! but has anyone else used anything else, anyone used premierflex?

I just use cortaflex the green top one and I have to say its fab and really helps but if anyone can give me a cheaper alternative??
Last winter she was awkward and stiff then had an injury to her ligament in the summer. She is now sound and supple.

I have heard premier flex is also good

Havent used the product you mentioned but I used to use Naf Superflex until a friend of a friend set up her own business producing this kind of product. Ive used it very successfully as it has a higher % of most elements in it.

Dont want to appear to be advertising so PM me if you want details.

I use ExtraFlex HA for Ella. She has arthritis -when I was researching, I decided that this was one of the best joint supplements. If your horse has ligament damage - have you thought of trying magnetic wraps/boots. I swear they have helped Ella no end.

I use premier flex and have to say that I've noticed a difference - horse seems a lot more elastic through the hocks (although he has had osteopathy at the same time so could be attirbuted to that). Once you're through the loading period, it lasts a while too.
