joint supplement recommendations please

I give my mare Extra-Flex as a preventative measure more than anything so how do you really know if it's working? Having said that used to have a click in her hock and that's disappeared :)

Hi,

I have used the NAF one (superflex??) and that seemed to work well with my ned. Would be interested to see what people suggest as I'm looking for a 'budget' supplement! : o )

It would really depend on what you want to use it for...what do you want it to do for your horse.
I use Newmarket Joint Supplement - it is the purest form of glucosamine which aids cartilage, joint fluid and tendons. My mare has arthritis and it was approved by a veterinary hospital as well when she was in for something else. They put most horses on it themselves.
I can notice if she goes a day without it...

I'v been thinking about this, will look into it further!

For maintenance and a clicky fetlock I use naf superflex - brilliant. Stops her clicking. If I run out and can't get any for a few weeks I notice the difference.

P.s whoever wanted budget, when you break down cost per day this is one of the cheaper ones!
