Can anyone recommend me any joint supplements that are suitable for laminitics? I have been supplementing my older mare with supplements containing glucosamine for years - Cortaflex, Equiflex, Topspec 10:10, Horsefirst My Joints, Suppleaze Gold are some that we've used with varying degrees of success, but whilst I have been rejigging her diet to be more barefoot friendly, I suddenly realised that the Glucosamine could be causing her to be footy now and again - she has had laminitis in the past and is closely managed to prevent this happening again.
She isn't suffering from arthritic joints even at 23, as confirmed by my vet yesterday, but I wonder if this is due to her being fed joint supplements, and I'm nervous to stop giving her them in case she does start to stiffen up.
Is cider vinegar useful or useless? How beneficial is MSM on its own?
