I am currently using a joint supplement on all three of our horses, on my boy as a preventative measure, one of them has ongoing arthritis issues so to help her with that (sound atm, want her to stay sound though) and OH's mare who is currently lame with an undiagnosed problem - could be joint related, probably not but figured it wouldn't do her any harm either way!!
Anyway, what does everyone use? looking for something not too dear ideally, and was wondering about human glucosamine from the health shop - it seems cheaper but is it less strong?

My 14yo mare is arthritic in her hocks and can get really stiff. Also her legs used to fill when she stood in.

I swapped her from Cortaflex as it had no effect onto Instant Linseed, which worked for a time but wasnt strong enough. now shes been on Mobifor which i cannot reccoment highly enough! her joints no longer click, and her legs dont fill anymore either.

Thanks guys - Cortaflex was good for arthritic mare but a bit expensive as a preventative. Problem is they all feed from tubs on simple systems feed so tricky to give different supplements to each. Will check out the Mobifor, thanks P_G
