Can anyone recommend any good joint supplements? I used to take Cortaflex but stopped (have no idea why). I have problems with my hips and knees and now the weather has turned, riding is really aggrevating them and I'm in agony. Would you believe it I'm only 24......

I have a feeling there's a pot still lying around somewhere!! I just wondered if other people had come across anything brilliant!
I don't like taking cod liver oil, having once cut one open as a kid and experiencing the smell!!

It's always stayed with me!!
But I will try glucosamine..... do you think it's detrimental to take more than one type at a time?

Yeah, that is what I think I will do........ I was just thinking that perhaps I could dose myself right up in the hope I might be able to get some riding done before next week!! I have a feeling Osc is going to get very bored of trotting in circles on the lunge this week!!

I'm having trouble with my hips and started taking Superdrug Gluscousamine & Chrondiotin (sp?) & it's really helped.

Much cheaper than Cortaflex, or it might be that I've got a narrower horse than before?!!

Ooh, a vote for Cortaflex...... maybe I'll try that again then too. I never forget to give horsey his but me on the other hand.....!!

Cod liver oil capsules (sp?) are great. They don't smell of anything, although when they finally burst in your tummy you can sometimes taste it slightly, but if you take the capsule at night, just before going to bed, then you don't taste it as you're asleep. Helps with stiff joints in the mornings then too.

I'm so glad you have posted this as I seem to have aching hips / legs lately and I think I need somthing. It's a sad sign of age in my case but I'm not giving up riding yet so need a good suppliment.
