I use osmonds bute-x and can't recommend it highly enough. £33 (plus carriage) for 2.5kg which lasts 2 horses a couple of months I think (hard to guess as we normally buy bigger then split it down to smaller pots)

I am interested in the replies to this too, I will be looking at something for my ISH, he's 13 and takes a long while to warm up, so think his joints could do with a little help.

equi flex from vits vets they do auto reorder so you never forget £15.95 a tub and last two horses a month use it on 18 yr old and a pony who had spavins in both hocks worked wonders for them

Would also recommend Equiflex from Vet Vits too, my Vet said its a good one. Also know a mare that was very stiff and had bad arthritic changes in hocks, has been on NAF Superflex since March and on a recent check up with Vet after a course of Adequan, is doing really well, even Vet was surprised! Could be the injections or the supplement or both, either way results are very impressive.

I use NAF superflex, I can't tell you if it works as I feed it as a precautionary measure as George has wind galls and is a chunky 16.3 tbxshire. The vet recommended it and it is £50 for the big tub and that lasts 4 mths.

After many hours of research (and even a spreadsheet to keep on top of the info

!) I found the supplement that offered the highest doses of Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM (which are widely regarded as being the 3 "key" ingredients) at the best value was Premierflex HA which is available directly from their website. They delivered within 48hrs and it has really helped my boy...

I used cortaflex which was great but TheDisreputanleDog I use codlavine on my 18yr old mare and its fantastic and cheap.......so much so have put my dressage horse on it rather than the cortaflex and it seems to be doing the job nicely!

I'm an Equiflex fan - my 34yo has been on it for years and has made a brilliant recovery from a) a hind check ligament injury 2 years ago and b) a fractured (shattered!) hind splint bone 4 weeks ago today - he's being turned out at the end of this week! Plus, seeing him prance across the lawn, he moves like a horse half his age.
