I have a 16 year old arab x and would like to give him a decent joint supplement!

Which joint supplement, preferably that you've tried and found improvements?

Ive considered Cortaflex and heard its good, but its a bit pricey, i havn't crossed it off my list totally but would like to know of other joint supplements that are decent

aviform suppleaze gold! used it on mine & it seems too work! its not full of bulkers & they seem to always hav 3for2 on their website!
 
Synequin all the way. I have my 20yr old on it and its made a huge difference. It is expensive during the loading period. Wouldn't use anything else.
 
Another vote for Suppleaze Gold from me.
My boy has huge leg/feet problems and he has come sound on this with no bute.
And with the 3 for 2 offer it is not a bad price.
 
Feel Good 30 Joint & Relief - i get it off supplementsolutions.co.uk and it's £28 for a month's supply.

It has the usual joint support stuff - MSM etc - and it also has devil's claw and boswellia for pain relief.

Works on my 17 yr old maxi cob hunter who has arthritis - he's lame without it, sound with it - simples!
 
I have 2 on Suppleaze Gold (ex-racer and ex event horse with damaged collateral ligaments of the coffin joint) and it seems to work superbly, great value and effective. I even gave some to my 14 year old dog when he started to become a little "lame" and he too became sound. My welsh D that had stifle surgery 18 months ago is on Cosequin and I also give him Feedmark rosehips and (touch wood) he is sound and competing at affiliated dressage again, and is winning, so that also gets my vote and isn't too expensive once you are past loading dose stage.
 
I would go Cortaflex all the way, if you shop around you can get a 908gm tub which lasts around 4 months for £53.00 so it works out at less than £15 per month
I swear by it, my horse fractured his hock as a 4 year old and he is now 18 and has been fed on it since the accident.
I've tried other supplements in a bid to save money but within a few weeks, i.e. once the Cortaflex is out of his system he becomes noticably stiffer, go back to Cortaflex and everything is fine!!
 
We use Newmarket Joint supplement. Recomended by vet for Bronson because he has bone spavin. He is 20 this year and was rearing up before showjumping this weekend. Used to use Cortaflex for 4 years before this but he is much less creaky this winter.
