I have an 11yr old polo pony who is thankfully fit and healthy. Due to the fact that she double chukkas 2-3 times a week and is exercised in a string the other days of the week i was looking into starting to give her a joint supplement as a preventative measure. He joints come under a lot of strain when she is playing due to the nature of the sport. I was wondering what peoples thoughts and recommendations were on joint supplements and the best ones to use. Thanks

I was recommended Riaflex by my physio - best spec-price ratio compared to Superflex, and I think it has been very effective.

If you're looking for the same ingredients as Superflex etc then it seems to be one of the most economical options, partly as they do very little if any advertising so you're not paying for marketing! - they do a comparison on their site and publish ingredients.

Thats great thanks, interestingly enough one of my friends also mentioned the riaflex to me. I have been comparing the superflex and cortaflex so will have a look at this too.

I used Cortaflex HA liquid, one bottle lasts me about a month. My horse is only 4 but I use it in the hope the 'prevention is better than cure'. I know other people who use it with older horses as well who have all said great things.

I've started using Suppleaze Gold on my TB and have been amazed at the difference it's made. I've heard lots of good things, and cost wise seems very reasonable - I buy it from the pedmedicine company online and was the cheapest I could find with free psotage.
