I’ve been advised to put my horse on a joint supplement. At the moment I’m looking at either NAF Glucosamine with MSM or something with turmeric, possibly TurmerAid. There are so many out there it’s hard to know which ones best and which ones really work! What does everyone else use and would recommend?

I also use supplements but have no idea what works, and there does not appear to be any real scientific evidence. I use synoqun and kurasyn, but it is hard to 'recommend' because I use them as preventatives.

Highly recommend Equistro Flexadin UC2. It is not cheap but most definitely works, recommended to me by respected vet. VioVet is the cheapest place to buy it.

I have a six year old Trakehner gelding who grew very tall, very quickly as as a result, has some notable weaker points. This winter I noticed effusions on his hocks, got him x-rayed thinking he may have OCD (or something similar), x-rays came back clean as a whistle. I can honestly say after 2.5 months on the supplement, my horse is more limber and although there is some residual filling around his hocks, they are no way near as puffy. This supplement works by regulating the viscosity of joint fluid.

My 25 yr old is retired due to arthritis of the coffin joint and has gone through the vast majority of the winter on just boswellia. He has Danilon ready for when he needs it but so far has only had it for a week after his last trim when he got a little bit sore over the hardcore between the yard and the field. It's pretty cheap and I think it's definitely helping Archie. Redpost Equestrian seems to be the cheapest place for it.
