My pony has developed a bone spavin. At the moment he's quite sound when trotted up- on ground that was like concrete. Vet has suggested a joint supplement-one which contains devils claw, boswellia and MSM. To save me trawling across the internet does anyone feed one with these ingredients?

I feed my mare Dodson and Horrell's supplement for joints. It's a herbal one, unfortunately the list of ingredients on the box is printed too small for me to read it! I think it makes a difference to her.

I feed equicure flex which has Boswellia and MSM plus lots of other things but not devils claw.

Devils claw is a tricky one as it's not competition legal so it won't be added to many off the peg ones

Feedmark do bespoke supplements so maybe you could add extra ingredients to get what you want.

I would look at Feedmark. I have always found their joint supplements actually work and with their bespoke service, as @criso says, you can create one to suit.

naturalhorsesupplies.co.uk would either make it up to your requirements - or you could just buy the individual ingredients.

I used to feed their Glucosamine/Boswellia/ MSM which I found effective

The only one I will use is https://www.equimins-online.com/en/all-products/46-equimins-flexijoint-cartilage-supplement.html

Money back guarantee and it is amazing stuff made my late mare sound after vet said bute for life, she came off bute and was sound once on it, that is just one example from this yard. Just check out the reviews on the page.

My acpat physio recommenced 2 when I asked her. One was the science supplements (David marlin) one, which used the recommended amounts of active ingredients.

The other I think (but not 100% sure) was feedmark best flex. - the latter gives the amount of active ingredients per daily dose so you can compare to the science supplements one.

Thanks to everyone who has replied. I've gone to Feedmark and made a 'bespoke' mix with these ingredients. Got 50% off which helps. The tub can be added to the row of his supplements in the feed room.
