I have never had any trouble with any other feed suppliment before, she eats everything. But everytime I go for a joint one she turns her nose up at it!! I can use cod liver oil as cribox!!

As my mare is advancing in years I feel that I should help her with her joints(aparently she qualifies for a veteran rossette in RoR classes!). So I have purchased a small economical tub of Feel Good 30 Joint suppliment, on the understanding that if she really doesn't like it so significant harm done. Joint suppliments are nearly as expensive as hoof ones!!

Fed her this evening with her new suppliment in it and she gave me such a look, although she did start to pick at her food but it doesn't look good! I don't think this one has worked and I don't have the funds to buy them all to try on the off chance she will eat them! Anyone got any good ideas???

Newmarket joint supplement doesnt smell of anything as its pure glocosomine. If it doesnt smell i would imagine it doesnt taste of much either. My horse didnt notice at all but he is a pig.I took them in tablet form some time ago for a injury and couldnt taste anything either.

My horse LOVES NAF 5* Superflex liquid, it smells sort of honey-like and she literally licks every drop off the bowl. I think if I just poured her 25ml into a feed bowl she'd still take 10 minutes licking it out!

Have you tried apple cider vinegar? It's supposed to be good for joints, and if your horse will eat an apple surely she'll eat that? It also helps with general overall health which is a plus for an oldie.

Hiya, i agree with Cellie. Newmarket Joint supplement doesn't smell of anything and my fussy horse eats his feed like there's nothing else in it. Another one that he didn't mind is Cortaflex but he hated naf 5 star superflex to begin with.

My 2 picky eaters eat their NAF Superflex powder fine. In fact, I sprinkle it on top and dont even mix it in because they seem to dig in quicker. You could speak to NAF and se if they'd give you a sample of a few days explaining your situation. They've been very helpful for me in the past.

Does the Superflex work? My girl like sugarbeet so she might go for the liquid, I did feed her something similar years ago but one month was £41!!! She did like that!! But I saw no differance in her movement etc.

She has eaten two meals so far, we will see if it continues.....
