The owner of the barn I work at asked me to post this to get the word out.

Five Star Ranch (located on Campbellville, ON) will be hosting a Josh Lyons Symposium on March 23, 24 and 25 of 2007.

The symposium runs Fri, Sat and Sun. Josh will start off working with an unbroke horse, doing ground work, etc. to prepare the horse for saddling/riding. He will then move onto a more experianced horse and demonstrate and explain concepts such as teaching the leg yield and half-pass at all gaits, getting your horse soft in the bridle, lead changes, rollbacks, spins, and eliminating bad behavior (i.e. spooking, bucking, jigging, etc.)

Friday runs from 6:00pm-9:00pm and the cost is $25 (CDN)
Saturday runs from 9:00am-5:00pm and the cost is $60
Sunday runs from 9:00am-5:00pm and the cost is $60
If you sign up for Saturday AND Sunday, the cost is $100 for both days combined

After the symposium, Gail Haynes (double certified John Lyons' trainer and Level 2 CEF instructor) will be holding a rider clinic. In this you will be able to go over the topics that Josh showed and explained, either on your horse, or on a horse that you borrow from Five Star Ranch. This clinic runs three days (March 26, 27, and 28 of 2007) and the cost is $500 (CDN) or $30 a day for spectators

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Also, we will be offering a group discount! If you sign 10 people up, you get the 11th ticket for free! This is a great way to get together with people from your barn or community, either split the savings, sell the ticket, or use it as a fundraiser for your local 4-H or other group!

Also, I just noticed that the phone number on the downloadable flyer is the owner's home phone number, it may be best to call the Five Star Ranch Office instead, at (905)854-6300

Er - How are most of us going to get there?
