I went to a committee meeting the other night and there were three people wearing Joules (I was in crew!) and it got me thinking, everywhere you go most of the girls are in Joules, even my 'townie' sister has a Joules wardrobe.

Anyone else think its getting common?

Yes it's very common now as it's very popular but thats because it's nice

Also I tend to go for things that are less popular from their range. (She says odds on I spot lots wearing the same T-Shirt as me at Burghley)

I do see lots of chav type people wearing Joules, which has put me off a bit! I think their quality level has dropped, so have moved onto other stuff now.

There was a bloke on Dragons' Den last night trying to get backing for a range of polo clothes called Folistas. They turned him down - mad fools!!! Joules stuff is lovely, I don't care if it is common - it is lovely to see riding gear that is actually pretty!

I agree it is getting very common - but I still love it! I find the styles are flattering on me and they have some lovely colours. It's nice to have practical clothing that looks good as well

Everyone at Burghley 2 years ago was wearing Hacketts tops - it goes in cycles. Joules make nice stuff in pretty colours - that's why it's popular! (not the same as common, IMHO)

Yes I agree with everyone else, it is popular and it has it's reasons for the populatiry. I think that their styles and colours are great (although there are some which woudln't suit me) I do think that it is nice that they are offering riding gear which looks very nice, for riding/yard work or just wearing around the house. But like everything else it is a phase, I am sure something else will come along soon and everyone will be wearing that....possibly anyway.

I own quite a few Joules items, just actualy treated myself to some of their winter range this morning!

The colours are pretty, the fit is usually really good, although I must say my stuff seems to shrink so now I buy a size bigger!

no offence... but I have always viewed Joules as being slightly equi-chav.

Everyone is always wearing the same distinctive top, and you can't distinguish between that girl riding in the joules shirt over there, and that girl riding in the joules shirt over there, and that girl mucking out in the joules shirt over there....

That, and I have never understood the concept of buying overpriced yard ware... it's going to get covered in crap... in minutes if your horses are anything like mine... just, why?

There's only one brand of yard wear I'll stick to, and that Charity.... cheap, warm, and no one else is wearing it.

i agree with Doreys mum - sorry guys. I think Joules chav for the horse world. Everyone is wearing it just because of the name, i dont even really like the tops to be honest. I wear super cheap stuff to the yard as i know its going to get disgustingly dirty!

Here here i only wear stuff down the yard that is not suitable to wear anywhere else!!!

I dont see the point in paying £40 for a t-shirst (or however much they are) when you can by one from Primark that does just a good a job and is only £3.

Everything gets wrecked anyway so i would rather spend the money on shows

I think they're successful at that price because they're nice enough to wear every day as well. I like the stuff but it is everywhere. Even my OH's Mum has discovered it and has started dressing her 4 year old son in it! He does look adorable though.

I love rugby stuff for riding in (jumpers, coats, tops, tracksuit and waterproof bottoms) - its designed to be warm, get dirty and waterproof plus its essential that it can be cleaned so ideal for horses! Its also a lot cheaper than horsey labels and lasts a long time.

I do think Joules have some really nice clothing but I refuse to buy it as everyone else has it. There are plenty of other less well known brands out there which are just as good, or actually better than Joules. It's become one of the labels to have now, wether you're horsey or non-horsey.

I don't buy the current collection but wait each time for the end of season on-line sale which is fab. I have bought the overtrousers, two gilets and numerous tops this way. If you buy the current stuff you see it everywhere...

Hmmm, interesting...

I have quite a few tops. Not bought because of the mean so much as the style/colour/fit. I love my tops and wear them a lot but i have noticed that they are popping up everywhere and its making me like them less.

Now just got to find another make!

Thats what I'm doing...off to search for Tottie polo wear...

Agree with everyone else, I wear rags around the yard, when you've got two bouncing inuit dogs and a slobbery yearling its best to wear clothes that you can trash!

LOL, Tottie is much more equi-chav then Joules. Honestly - why does it bother people so much and why do you stop liking things just because they become popular?
