Joules...is it getting common?

I bought my Tottie shirt before I even knew that they had their own stand and everything - and sadly bought it because my dog is called Tottie and I thought it cute!!! I prefer their stuff to Joules in all honesty, but I tend to wear anything that has gotten stained and wont wash clean at the yard!

Well I saw loads of chavettes walking round blenheim last weekend with tottie bags. And we wonder why horsey people have a reputation for being snobbish when you refuse to wear something just becase other people do.

I've got a couple of tops, which I tend to wear more around town with jeans than around horses.

Fashion comes and goes, a couple of years ago - everyone I knew had the 2-tone jods with the darker seat. Or hats - look how common the GPA hats were and still are?

I don't care if I ride in my joules shirt or not - if you're talking cost wise - it's the cheapest item of my riding kit as such (bar gloves) - think of costs of hats, boots, gaitors etc?

Each to their own

Not so long ago Toggi deck shirts were the in thing. Have to say IMO Joules stuff is like s**t, it gets everywhere! Have two items but both bought in sales as feel it is over priced. If I am going to pay more than Primark prices I prefer Pikeur.

O god joules is like a uniform at horsey events. Its like you have to where it because people wont respect you if you dont! Ipersonally am not a big fan (although coincidently i am wearing 2 joules items as i type- the only ones i posess) but my sisters are and i do get sick of the sight of it!

Much prefer Toggi!

I think thats my choice, don't you? I couldn't care less what people think horsey people are like. There are snobs in all walks of life, don't be so naive.

Oh well said Weevil!
I was just about to post a similar response but you beat me to it, and also put it far better than I could.

Hmm, have just seen your response.

Of course it's totally your choice what you wear - nobody was disputing that.

I can't quite understand why you would call Weevil naive though.
Just because snobbery exists, doesn't make it any less distasteful.

From my point of view, I wear what I like, regardless of how many other people wear or don't wear the same brand.

And I've never particularly liked Joules stuff anyway. Over-priced tat imho...

All I wear is free promo t-shirts and fleeces and sweaters that were uniform provided from a company I used to work for. Also for really cold I buy out of season ski fleeces at Makro usually for £4 or£5 and good brands so they wash and last well. God, does that make me individual and stylish or what?

Well you are entitled to your opinion and so am I. Don't see how it makes me naive though

I just think it is quite sad how you can like something one day but then suddenly not like it any more just because other people do.

Yes it is very popular I have a couple of Joules tops they are just so flattering for my shape but they are pricey (for me) usually wear any old tat
