What does their sizing come up like? Have seen one in a sale and I am usually and xs in jackets and this is an 8 so I'm thinking it will be fine. Also how warm is the Dakota jacket?
Thanks

dont know about the dakota, but im normally an 8 in joules clothes and have there blouson in an 8/small, which is fine. reckon it should be fine

i had this problem where one shirt i bought was fine in size so I bought the same size when the next season's stuff came out only to find it was massive

I phoned the customer service number and she explained to me that certain styles are cut differently and advised me which ones were the same as the one I had that fitted... So i got what she suggested and it was rather snug!

In my experience the t-shirts can be on the small side

I had the Dakota jacket, I ended up taking the lining out and giving it away but kept the outer - still wear it now but it was an XL and I'm down to size 8 now so I wear it as an over coat because it is waterproof and windproof. The velcro has come off the wrists and I hate the elastic straps on the hood but apart from that its a fab coat. Oh and my other moan is that its one of those coats you sit on and get strangled with when you're trotting!!!

I tried one on and it came up small so you may well need a size bigger than usual. Could you try one for size in a tack shop then get it in the sale afterwards?

i have a blouson one - they are pretty on target size wise - very warm for the price. I wouldnt get a small one tho as my blouson one does ride up!

I have a Dakota and it is the best thing I have ever bought! I take the sleeves out the inner jacket and just have the gilet in as I find it a little restrictive with the sleeves too. really snug though!!

I have a bright pink Dakota jacket, which my mummy bought for me at the Royal Show. I love it, it's such a great coat. At the moment I have the liner separately as a gilet, I wear that loads on dry days and I wear the waterproof outer when it rains. I've got caught in some heavy downpours this summer and it kept me dry. I'll soon be zipping the gilet (and maybe the arms) back in to make one warm, snug waterproof coat. I ride in it, muck out in it, everything really, it's brilliant, I'd really recommend it.

ETS: Size wise I found it came up quite big, I'm normally a 10 - 12 but my Dakota is a size 8!

Dakotas come up pretty standard sizing (well the latest ones do)

They're much lighter than they look but pretty warm
