I'd love to be off riding but I am stuck at home with flu. With the weather forecast it looks as if my 2 will be getting a prolonged holiday until after Christmas.

Two daughters just set off on two v bouncy ponies for the first time in 3 weeks! My poor boy is not going as I have way too much to do in the kitchen, pigs done this week so I am salting ham and bacon and goodness knows what else!

Managed to get out for quick 40 minutes round the lanes yesterday afternoon, first ride for over a fortnight. Described it as piloting a very hairy incendiary device! Now in a quandry as he got very hot and I don't know whether to give him a quick clip or to leave him furry if it's going to be icy and unrideable again? Off for a session on the school this afternoon.

Frost has gone and I could have gone riding today but I'm working. Got my OH's kids for the day tomorrow. Looked at the weather forecast for next weekend and it's snow again! I really want to go for a ride!

Just been on a hack on my girl after two weeks of not riding and i am really pleased with her, foot perfect & not a spook in sight, went with 2 other trusty horses and they were the same.

Now have grin from ear to ear...

Am off for a hack this afternoon, my boy came back into work the day before the first snow arrived, so this will only be the second time in 3 months we've been out very excited

I went out with my sister, our two boys had reacted very differently to the time off... mine being over excited and hers still only half awake from his attempt at hybernating...
The end result was this the two of us pretty much on a serperate hack (excuse the face-too much laughing from her singing christmas carols, and picture quality... taken on phone)
