I am nearly 17 and on a horse. I am aiming to do JRN's this year but im confused on how to enter them?

I have been told that as i am over 16 i do not need to be accredited.

If someone could shed some light on this for me i would be very appricative!

Thanks!!

You just enter them as normal events I presume....did you get details in your membership pack? May be worth contacting your regional co-ordinator.

i think im right in saying that you can go and do a normal novice without being registered with your regional co-ordinator but if you want to do JRNs then you have to be accepted onto the JRN programme by your junior regional co-ordinator - you have to fill in an application form etc.

You have to write to Val Gingell with a brief CV of what Frost and you have done. There is a JRN application form on downloads, don't worry if you cant find it just send a CV. She will send you a welcome letter and an ebtries pack. There are stickers which MUST be sent in when you enter. You can enter online as normal and theen send the sticker to the sec.

If you want to run out of area (South of England and Hambleden are 2 we go to, you have to get permission from both Val and the co ord of the area you want to compete in.

You do not need any sort of qualification or test now as you are over 16.

Good luck and enjoy it. I shall look out for you.

Are you doing Gt Witch.

We won't be at Burnham Market but will the do SOE and Hambleded, also Downham.

We shall miss Brigstock and Belton as Bee is away then.

Which sec are you at Isleham? Bee is in B on Willough and D on Floss.

We are then at Oasby on Sunday and Gt Witch on Fri.

I'll PM you my number in case you need to ask anything else.

It is unlikely that Willough will have been XC schooling by then. She is doing the JAS final on Sunday so I have wanted to keep he mind 'indoors' for the time being.

I am hoping we can get them both up to Downham on Tues afternoon as Bee has games then.

Having said that she has managed there every other year without schooling first, she is like a little bouncy ball atm, the dressage at Isleham is always interesting as the warm up is so big and open and the XC runs past.

Note to self, buy superglue!
