As Title, seem to remember a hoo ha but I'm sure mine was ok I bought it at the end of last year, I have a hunter trial in 3 weeks and don't want to go round in my posh velvet hat, anyone know for sure?
JTE Hats Are they Accepted by the pony club?

Up here you're not allowed any sort of fixed-peak for hunter-trials.
If it has a kite-mark (heart-shaped with wiggles in it) then it will be approved, if not then no.
There was a ho-hah in our branch about hats last year but I can't remeber the hats which were not allowed.

You are not allowed fixed peak hats for cross country and they also have to have the kite mark in them it's no good just have the safety number in it. You may get away with it if they are not checking hats when you pick up your number bib, as a lot of places are doing now.
