lol Im judging ridden classes @ local level (some qualifiers)

What do you wear whilst judging?

as far as im aware they prefer you not to ride.... same story of local show = some naughty horses and insurance/healt and saftey!!!

im thinking breeches and jacket anyway,

I think very smart pinstripe shirt tucked into some moleskin type trousers (if you don't like wearing along skirt!) with smart paddock boots, matching (try keep your colours the same (browns/blues and greens) hat and a very smart country ladies jacket will be fine for a local show, along with some kind Barbour jacket as it gets cold standing around!T

The secretary should of informed you if you needed to ride, at local level if that is what you are doing then you won't be expected to ride, however it has happened in the past. If your not riding then riding attire is not necessary.

A scoring system, clip board and some babywipes is always a good idea to have in your car just incase they have not got these to hand for you.

Best dress for a ride judge is Tweed, Jods, long boots, coller and tie and harnessed hat ( like a ridden hunter competitor).

Non ridden, Tweed, coller tie, Beige trousers and comfortable Boots. with a Trilby type het to match tie .
