The BE results stuff is really bloody brilliant!
Last night, when I couldn't sleep I thought I'd do a bit of digging to see if I could find a horse I was involved in when I was little.
In the early 90s I spent every weekend and holiday at a yard in Cumbria with a lady called Daphne Lane. She brought on youngsters, one of which was a liver chestnut mare called Gizmo. In 1993 the head girl evented Giz twice at Jervaulx and Eglington.
(Incidentally it's interesting to see she did 1 PN and went straight to N!)
Anyway. The next year Giz was sold to Julie Robinson (now Lawson) and I followed her career a little, but then lost touch.
Looking last night the mare went Advanced and ** and has 78 points! She's also had 2 foals which are also now competing with Julie!
I've got a picture of me on Giz from all those many years ago and I'd loved to kind of chat to Julie about her and see if she's still alive (though was born in 1988 so a long shot I feel), but feel a bit
about it. Do you think it would be ok to maybe drop Julie a little letter or something?
