Jump 4 joy telescopic wings

Hi,
Does anyone have any and have you found a way to "unstick" them? Mine have been sat all winter and now won't move! I've pulled as hard as I dare without risking breaking the catch but they won't budge! Help x

Would WD40 or washing up liquid potentially help to loosen it?
