Hey everyone,

Im just wondering if anyone has been to jumpcross before? Any experiences good or bad? Im hopefully going in July. Its like cross country but with knock down jumps? Ive never done xc before so thought that this training session could do some good?

Thank you in advance xx

I haven’t done a Jump Cross Competition but did have a play at Plumpton College. It was great fun, as you say just like XC but with jumps that fall down. I found it actually harder then it looks as you have to be even more accurate then you do XC. You will enjoy it, I’m sure! :D

Whatever body protector fits your shape best, they are all slightly different. Go to a shop and try loads on! I personally like my Airowear one. :D

Ahh Yeah obvs haha :D So I take it that it doesnt have to be a specific one lol x

I've just done my first Jumpcross competition today, it was great fun. The course (Elbridge in Shropshire) was on the side of a very steep hill which I wasn't expecting but it was really good and the people were very helpful and friendly.

Definitely recommend having a go

good luck!:)

It's brilliant!! OK I was a bit if a wimp and only did the 2ft but wasn't sure what to expect first time. I went to Foxfield Farm in Melbourne and as you can see all the jumps are quite basic and no water, but what fun, wish they had them more often. :)

before you go (not being a party pooper) please check your insurance, i found out the hard way that certain insurance companies do not have jumpcross as standard! its an extra add on for some! idiots!!!!! anyways make sure you are covered and enjoy your day x for a first time do the baby class, you have nothing to prove and only need to have lots of fun, let us know how you get on xx

Have a go, it's great fun!

My friend & i went just to find out what it's like, we normally do ODEs, hunter trials etc but fancied a change so went to one near us. We both really enjoyed it, the course was just like normal xc with water, hills, banks etc and some of the combinations of jumps we did were quite technical. You do have to be quite accurate & actually take the jumps like show jumps but that's the whole point, and it was actually not as easy as we thought it was going to be.

Would definitely go again & highly recommend it. Let us know how you get on.

I have done a training day and loved it :) Was great fun would love to go again but sadly all the venues are quite far away :(
