Jump poles

Just seen another thread about jump poles which reminded me that I need to purchase some!
Does anyone know the best place for me to pick up some 2nd hand ones or has anyone got any good improvisations? Someone mentioned landscape poles to me as apparently they are half the price....?
If anyone not a million miles away from me in West Berks has any for sale/free to a good home let me know

SCATS in Newbury used to do naked wooden poles suitable for jumps. I can't remember what they cost. Don't know if they still do.

google for your local timber merchant and ask for tanalised 6" wide, 12ft long round poles. then go to your local friendly hardware shop and ask for the correct type of paint for painting jump poles, or buy some pole sleeves for the colours!

Should be 1/3rd of the price of jump poles.

Thanks for this - much appreciated! Was in Scats in Newbury today actually but they only seemed to have the ones cut in half for rails...will try the timber merchants. I will get my boy jumping this year!!

ive just brought some 4" poles.
if you phone mcveigh & parker they deliver all over the country
ive paid about £7;50 each and they are 12ft in length,
