Jump saddle ideas please

15.2 warmblood, but VERY wide and with a very long wither - not high as such but long front to back if that makes any sense. Big shoulders.

Daughter is tiny (size 6) so doesn't need a big seat but she has massively long thighs, shes only 5'3 but has a massive 33" inside leg.

Currently in an old GFS GP which weighs an absolute ton and would like something lighter (synthetic or 50/50) as mare is nearly 23 now.

Saddlery said a T4 cob would suit IF she wasn't jumping, but will not work with her long legs when riding short. I absolutely cannot afford £1000+ for something fancy.

HELP! Or are we destined to just ride on the flat?
 
I’ve had a similar situation and a Jeffries F1 jump saddle suited us both.
Also the new GFS saddles are pretty light, so maybe worth a try.
 
Does the current saddle actually fit the horse and daughter, for flatwork and jumping? If so I'd put up with the weight. Sounds like your daughter is extremely light, so I can't imagine a heavier saddle being a problem for a 15.2 horse even in their 20s.

Don't suppose you have a saddlery that will allow you to try second hand (we have 2 of these near me - you can take 3 at a time to try). It sounds like quite a specific set of requirements so buying from Ebay etc would have a low chance of success.
 
I'm not sure on saddle fit but I was recently fitted with an Arena monoflap jump saddle(they also do normal flap) and I absolutely love it. Its 50/50, ,incredibly light and its very adjustable too. I think they're around £999 new which isn't too bad for a new saddle. My friend rides in a devocoux and preferred the feeling of my saddle.
 
I’d probably see if you can get a Black Country rep out to see if their freedom tree might work on one of the jump models
 
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but "fancy" is generally way above £1000 unless it's a fairly old saddle, for £1000 you'll have a few options, the lower your budget the harder it is with both a hard to fit horse AND rider. Not saying it to be mean, but costs of even leather and trees have trebled in some cases since I started in the trade 16 years ago.

And I agree that unless you need to minimise weight because the rider is heavy then saddle weight only affects the rider in terms of tacking up etc, not the horse.
 
Depending on what your horse and daughter are like/happy with, would it be possible for your daughter to ride bareback?

Either that or you’ll be looking at shelling out a lot of money for a new saddle.
