well as my horse is off sick at the mo, YO said *kindly* that i could ride the 5 year old mare and jump her in the 85cm class! so when arrived saw course and then entered... waited AGES till i could warm up, and so took me 15mins getting on as this was her first jumping show, her first time on grass and my first time jumping her around a course

in warm up the other horse and nelly (the coloured mare) were talking to each other and she was getting quite worked up. so trotted between 2 horses, she went up in both ends, saddle slipped and i involuntarily dismounted

so walked her to the other end of the warm up and got on her again, and then jumped her over the practice fence a couple of times as she is not very fit so had to preserve her energy!

then into the jumping... thought she would be spooky as she has never been cross-country before but she was brill!

ok, i was a numpty and my position wasnt very good, but she got going and that was the main thing. had a little problem at the river crossing, but she has never been in water before and she went in after a little encouragement! plus,a lot more experienced combinations couldnt get near the water as it was a running water/river thing...

That is the pony I was thinking off. She is so cute. I was admiring her going round (was standing just at the arena entrance). Please say hello the next time.

I was going to admire her on your way out, but you looked so out of breath and puffed!!!!!

BTW - if those are the sporting images pics you had better give them a credit for them (or admin will remove them tomorrow morning).
