My pony's jumping has been coming on really well lately!
His approach and style over fences has improved a lot, the only problem we are now having is that he tends to "die" after the jump (loose energy and slow down when he lands) and I was just wondering if there were any excercises I could do to help him stay more balanmced and continue cantering? He is fine over small jumps and manages to keep a rhythm but when the jump is a bit bigger he looses his rhythm. I have been doing lots of gridwork with him and he keeps his rhythm through a grid but not over a single jump.
He is only 7 so could it be down to inexperience and him loosing balance? He is definetly not being lazy as he is full of energy and loves jumping. What do you suggest?
