jumping and cantering

i rode a pony yesterday never ridden it before really nice but when e jumped it got over excited and started a extended trot as soon as the other pony had finished jumping turned into a canter really awkwardly flew over jump really nice and after the jump she had a very jumpy canter like she was jumping invisable jumps !! and turned her head to one side as if i was pulling the out side rein !!??

anyone no why she did that?

That sounds like crowhopping, sort of mini bucks. Lots of horses do that when they are over excited, but it can also be a sign of discomfort. Usually if you keep their heads up and push on forwards they will stop doing it. Occasionally they'll dump you too!
