We are having an outdoor arena put in and due to space the most we can do is 90x200ft (27x200m) even though we really wanted to do 100x200ft (30x200m). The arena will be used for jumping, so I was really hoping to have more width. Is that size comfortable enough for jumping?

That will be 27m x 61m. Locally the yards have 20 x 40 and usually have 5 jumps in for schooling, more makes it harder work, so you should find that size quite useable, 3m (10ft) is not a lot smaller it's only one canter pace.

Welcome to the forum.

Your figures are very odd, you have successfully converted the width to metres but not the length.

27x61 is plenty big enough for a small course, where you can use some jumps more than once and from different directions to simulate a full course.

Yes should be fine.
Mine is 25m wide and it's a short turn up if you go directly across but sometimes you want that!

Unless you're regularly jumping 1.30+ courses at home, then you might want bigger.
