hey all,
basically just want some contrustive crits on my jump position? My previous horse used to be a right git to jump as he would take u into the jump and it was hit and miss if he would jump it or just slam on at last split second. I got very good at hanging on!! However this did mean that although my confidence wasn't overly knocked as such I got into very bad habits. I stopped breathing, got very defensive, looked down and gripped with my knees in case he stopped and threw myself over jump if he jumped.
Still gettin used to fact that Ol enjoys jumping and touch wood never stops unless we get it very wrong which I don;t mind if genuine reason. Have been havin glots of lessons to work on position but just want to know what you all think. I feel like I may still be throwing myself at him too much?? What about my lower leg and also do I give him enough room with my hands (im very conscious about allowing him to move coz he is only a baby (5))
Any tips for improving beofre we try and tackle some BE90 comps in summer?!
