I am just about to go cross country schooling with my 7yr old mare for the first time and it has been recommend that i get her some better fitting boots that have all-round protection, e.g. the WoofWear event boot, which mixes tendon boots with brushing boots. I was very close to buying these but my mare has quite short front legs, but they are "well boned." these boots were better height but much to narrow. the measurements for these were: h-10inch, w-11.5inch.

does anybody have any recommendations for a cob by type horse, and that are near the budget of £40 a pair?

Thanks in advance :D. Would be really grateful of help as none of the boots seem to have measurements on their websites, ended up having to phone up woof wear to get the above measurements. thanks :D

I have a pair of the Lemieux XC boots and they have very generous straps on them, so i imagine they would fit round a horse with decent bone. My IDx mare is 16.3 with 9" (possibly 9.5, can't quite remember and the Large size fit her very well, with plenty of strap left over.

The only boots i could find that fit my short legged cob is the WW brushing boots that come in a medium wide, theyre still a teeny bit long for him but better than nothing! they were £20 a pair
