Having a lesson tonight anyone got any interesting different grids they use.
Done all the bounces to fences ones, just looking for something a bit different.

Thanks!

Umm... my instructor's a great fan of grids. I quite like them myself! She sometimes sets up a series of 3 or 4 jumps down the centre line and we have to adjust our horse's speed inbetween them. There's also another one I really like. It's in an 'S' shape. So you have to turn through it which my horse finds great fun as he has to use is brain and listen to me for a change!.
Can't think if any more just now. She's forever setting up things though :P

Hi there

Grid work is a great way to get horses to think for them selves, one of my fave "games" is to a 5 bounces (fences) down one side of the arena and down the other side have 2 bounces (fences) 1 stride then an upright 1 stride and then a spread, another good games is to jump fences on angles like this..

Very good whay to teach the horse the unexpected.

just a couple to keep you thinking.

pm me if you would like any more help
