Jumping how high?

I used to do alot of jumping but im old and boring now!! My son who is a new rider seems to find no problem jumping over a metre with his haffie though he has no concept of high or low height wise...he just jumps what i put up for him!! It does help that his pony loves jumping...we are yet to find his height limit and you dont need to understand strides etc, just point and jump!!

2' 6" max for me. I have jumped a lot higher in a past life. My boy has never stopped with me and I just point and shut my eyes. I don't get the metre sizes only work in feet and inches"!

I got up to 1.55 on the old horse i share but he was special and a horse i will never forget or get over. The best i can do now is 1m as my jumps only go that happy and to be honest that scares me, i only do because the horse loves it (my eyes are closed). Sorry cant put it into ft and inches all my jumps are in m and cm.

Jumping is good fun, I dont jump too big often. I prefer to jump a nice height well and give the horse the confidence, than over face the horse every time. I tend to stick to around 1.10 at home.
