Jumping post injury

I evented my mare at low level several years ago and she injured herself- a small hole in her ddft. She never went lame but we had it surgically repaired and got her back competing BN and disco levels ( she’s a fun horse and I’m very much an amateur so have no great aspirations). A year after the original injury she had another small tear- being a idiot in the field- We decided to leave her in the field for a year-long story short that was Nov2013. She was put into foal 2015 and foaled May 2016. We brought back to hacking and now does light schooling (30 min 3 times a week) shes been sound since being in work. My passion is Eventing but not sure the leg will hold up to that and don’t want to risk her- but what are people’s opinions on jumping. One vet said nothing more then hacking/schooling whilst another from the same practice says getting her back to jumping 90cm-1m on a surface isn’t going to significantly increase the risk of re injury. She’s now 13

The number of views compared to the low response rate probably tells you as much as anything I could say. One vet said no jumping. The other said height limited and on a surface only. Neither of those equate in any way to the strain of eventing with three disciplines and rough ground. If you don't want to risk her then personally I would not do it.

If she’s had the same injury in the same place twice, then I just wouldn’t risk it personally. There’s plenty of fun that can be had without leaving the ground!

My horse did her sdft in December 14 and she jumped around a year later however she had a very easy year in 2016 due to me being pregnant and she had another field injury to a different leg. I then fell pregnant again now she is back in full work and All fingers crossed plan to get back out eventing again.
Regarding your horse Id be tempted to start jumping because that’s what you want to do however I’d also have in the back of my mind what would happen if the same leg went again?

it doesn't sound like she would stand up to jumping on eventing surfaces unfortunately. If she was mine and I really wanted to event I'd get another one or else accept that all I could do was limited work with her and look into another discipline.
