I evented my mare at low level several years ago and she injured herself- a small hole in her ddft. She never went lame but we had it surgically repaired and got her back competing BN and disco levels ( shes a fun horse and Im very much an amateur so have no great aspirations). A year after the original injury she had another small tear- being a idiot in the field- We decided to leave her in the field for a year-long story short that was Nov2013. She was put into foal 2015 and foaled May 2016. We brought back to hacking and now does light schooling (30 min 3 times a week) shes been sound since being in work. My passion is Eventing but not sure the leg will hold up to that and dont want to risk her- but what are peoples opinions on jumping. One vet said nothing more then hacking/schooling whilst another from the same practice says getting her back to jumping 90cm-1m on a surface isnt going to significantly increase the risk of re injury. Shes now 13
