Hi all,
I have a wintec Isabel Werth dressage saddle for my 6yr old Hannoverian mare. Fits nicely and she seems happy in it. She's got fairly high and long withers and big paces so needs something with room for her shoulders.
I am thinking of getting a jumping saddle for those occasions where I want to brave it! As I mainly do dressage I don't want to spend a whole load of money on it. Given that I'm happy with the Isabel Werth was thinking of getting another wintec, probably the 500 jumping saddle.
Has anyone got any experience with these saddles, are they any good? Do they fit completely differently to the dressage saddles or is the good fit of the Isabel an indication that the jumping saddle would fit too?
Have already arranged a saddler (one of the few that appear to be recommended in Kent) to come out, but he didn't sound like he had much in the way of second hand jumping saddles! So I was thinking another adjustable eBay purchase might be in order. Then I can just get him to fit/reflock as necessary, providing it'll be a good enough fit.
Thoughts are welcomed, I want to do the best for my horse. Maybe I just need to get a different saddler who has more of a selection of saddles (but possibly a worse reputation!)
Sorry that's long! Can offer a latte to those who get this far!
