Hi I am looking into getting a new jumping saddle as my lovely ryder jump saddle does not fit my new boy.
He is 15.3hh tbx welsh, wide backed and broad shouldered and very sensitive so it needs to be a perfect fit!!! (He will let me know if its not!!!!)
I have a fairly good budget so most importantly want something that is right for him but also comfy and supportive for me. I like external knee/thigh blocks but there don't seem to be many online that I can find.
Any suggestions from you lovely people???!!
Many thanks

I'd contact your saddler and ask for a wide selection of saddles. My sister now rides in an Albion Legend 5000 XC saddle, which she'd have never found she loves if it wasn't for it being used as the breaking saddle on her little mare. Now, 2 of her 3 horses goes in one, and the 3rd horse goes in a cheap version of the next model up.

Your horse sounds exactly the same as mine as same height and shape and I have a Jeffries Falcon F1 jump saddle and it is lovely and secure with moveable big knee blocks and my Mr Fussy appreciates it very much.It was the one we settled on after much trying of different makes etc and even ones which were double the price.
I changed the front of it from flocking to flair last year for that bit more security when jumping down drops etc.
This week I had the saddler out for the pre season checks and also tried the Patriot as one day fancy upgrading to a mono flap saddle. However, if your horse is like mine and big shouldered it could potentially be a bit forward cut for big shouldered chaps.
You need to get out and do some trying!!!

Thanks for all the fast replies :-)
We don't seem to have many saddlers down here (Cornwall) that stock a variety Of different makes to try :-(
The Jeffries sounds great, do you have a pic of it? Can anyone recommend good/trustworthy saddlers in the south west that might come to Cornwall?!!!!x
