jumping saddles with wide gullets??

Can anyone recommend a jumping saddle with a wide gullet (pref close contact). Apparently our rising 4 yr old will be difficult to fit a saddle to as she has a wide spine. To make things more complicated she also has big shoulders, not much wither at the moment and is compact.
It's never straight forward I do envy those who's saddles seem to fit every horse!!

I have just bought a black country quantum for my horse, who sounds a very similar shape to yours. I spent ages trying different saddles but this one is perfect! Even better, while its still a cc its also flocked, so can be adjusted if required.

Have you tried Balance Saddles? I have had my horses in balance saddles for years and really notice the difference in any horse i ride them in.
They are designed to allow the horse's shoulders to move properly and fit the widest horses. (we use them on anything from fine TBs to big ID's). My jumping saddle is lovely- i wouldn't change it for anything.

They make take a bit of getting use to from the riders point of you-mainly because your horse will be able to move alot more! have a look on their website.

not what you want to hear as they are one of the most expensive but amerigos have wide gullets

WOW saddles have a gullet that is 3-fingers wide, most traditional saddles have a gullet that it 2 fingers wide - a saddler i really respect told me this. (old fashioned Walsall saddle maker, a true craftsman and very experienced...)

Good luck, I've tried everything under the sun literally, and nothing fits my cob, so had to stick with the good old GP T4 Cob.

would highly recomend Jaguar and Harry Dabbs. Both sit behind the scapula and have very wide gullets, and have a range of trees to fit from the TB to the XXW warmblood! we've had a few and theyve all been fab

I have an arab that has like no withers so he has a wide/x-wide saddle and my jumping saddle is a black country!!!

Fits perfectly, very comfortable, close contact, lovely knee rolls keeps your leg very secure

pilfer is v.wide with huge shoulders, not a lot of withers and quite a flat back.

he is in a Pessoa in a wide fit and it is brilliant on him, doesn't move, he makes a great shape over a fence in it and i like it as it is nice and secure.

suggest you have a look at the new Quantum saddles as they can have different width bridges to make the gullet the correct width for your horse, also the way it is built gives the horse plenty of freedom through teh shoulders.
