Just to give all of you that have been following my jumping sarga a quick update.

Senza has been schooling really well lately and i have been practicing really hard with my position. Even out hacking etc.

Anyway last night she was feeling soooo good and was really calm and listening so at the end of our schooling sesion i decided to pop her over a couple of jumps. Only 2'6 but i just wanted to concentrate on approach and my position more than height.

I made a concious effort not to throw my reins at her on the last stride and she was jumping so good, she was keeping a steady consistant canter into the jumps, jumping them by miles and then keeping a steady canter afterwards. I was so chuffed with her (i need a more work though

).

Anyway i didn't realise someone was watching until they shouted down to me how lovely they thought she was going

. It was really nice to hear after all the trouble i have had recently.

Only popped her over about 6 jumps in total but i didn't really want to jump til my lesson on Sunday anyway but really looking forward to it now

Phew, I think you owe (I can't remember their name) a drink for coming and helping you the other day. So glad it is all going OK now

I doubt I made that much difference, just pointed a few bad habits out thats all!

Kelly - like I said yesterday - well done and so pleased she's listening and you are working on helping her over the fences.

good luck for the lesson too!

I know you dont think you did much but i think the improvement in her and the smile on my face speaks for itself.

I am REALLY grateful for you for coming down and helping me (even though you know that already) so any time you need a groom you know where to come

Nice to know that there is always someone who can help. It only takes a couple of little things to sort something out.
Good on ya for getting the help.

Thanks everyone

Still cant see us getting to FH LOL but we are getting there slowly so who knows when she has filled out and has more muscle on her.

Don't worry about FH yet

One step at a time....when you are happy at BN then contemplate Disco, when you're happy with Disco, worry about NC etc....

When and If it all comes together, it can happen very quickly

Glad you've made some progress this week though

I know i am terrible when it comes to day dreaming LOL just always wanted to jump Fox and i have my fingers tightly crossed that it will be her to take me there.

I know we still have a lot of work to do but now there is light at the end of the tunnel again i am prepared to put the work in and try not to rush things

She's more than capable....

The one thing i have learned in the time that i was away from SJ'ing is that horses don't have to achieve everything in 5 minutes. Spend a couple of years working towards it, and enjoy the time you have at the lower levels. It will make her a better horse in the long run. She doesn't have the mental capacity to cope with being pushed at the moment

I totally agree with you there!!!

Even though she is quite well schooled she is still very babyish in her mannerisms and still gets tired easily and throws strops ha ha bless her so i am not expecting her to jump great heights just yet, just knowing we have something to work towards is enough for me
