jumping with no reins!

so ye are all probally thinking so what ? jumping with no reins is easy but it was my first time ever and i got comets bridle on thanks for the advice guys we jumped with no stirrups 1st(ive done it before) and then no reins! it was so amazing and i fel so good after it! the jump was only like 1'9 so it wasnt huge :L but i was having so much fun and comet was brilliant

Good on you, i was petrifried at the thought of doing it, but it's really helped me out when i've lost my stirrups or reins when out riding.

woo! i used to love jumping with no reins, gives you so much confidence when it goes well. i remember on one lesson i was in a field jumping a grid of 5 jumps with no stirrups, no reins & arms out like an aeroplane! not sure where i got the confidence to do that! i could completely trust my pony to jump all the fences (although not necessarily to stop at the end) am not sure i would try it on another horse!
